When a Canadian girl living alone in London was approached by a helpful stranger, neither knew where a random act of kindness would take them!
Whilst looking to a professional in a phone store to help fix her mobile phone – todays life line – Neetu unknowingly heard the voice of the man she would spend the rest of her life with.. “Let’s take your phone somewhere else”. Those few steps out of the phone store were the start of their life long journey together.
We first met Rakesh & Neetu at a friends party where we talked work over a few drinks. Falling in love with our style Neetu pushed for us to represent their big day.
Being a Canadian Sikh girl, marrying an English Hindu boy with the vision of a fairytale Indian wedding meant a number of extravagant affairs in both countries. Here began the beginning of a wonderful destination wedding filled with love, laughter, tears and happiness which we were given the privilege of documenting.
Our photographic journey began with an engagement shoot in London which gave us the opportunity to really get to know the couple.
Shortly after Neetu flew back to start the wedding preparations in Toronto. On the run up to the big day we joined the Grooms wedding party of over 20 in their journey across the pond. We got to interact with his family and friends, build excitement and capture the moment when the man of Neetu’s dreams landed half way across the world to claim her as his wife!
A wedding encompassing 2 different countries, cultures, traditions and religions - joined beautifully by understanding, trust and love.
Conscious of including all family in the celebration of their love, we flew back to the UK for a reception party for those who were not able to make the destination wedding.
Wishing Rakesh & Neetu a lifetime of happiness together as they start the journey ahead…
